Empty Prescription Pill Bottles Needed

Is your closet, like mine, overrun by empty prescription pill bottles that you hate to throw away? ChronicBabe would like to take them off your hands for an art project. They need orange or yellow prescription bottles, not bottles from vitamins or supplements. If you want to leave the labels on, you can cross out any personal information. Otherwise, you can peel the labels off and a Babe will put new labels on them.

If you send 10 or more bottles, you’ll get a $5 Amazon gift certificate. You can make the gift go further by using a padded envelope to mail the bottles. It’s less expensive than a box and should be light enough to drop in a mailbox.

Many homeless shelters will accept vitamin and other pill bottles. They are filled with shampoo and soap and given out to people who need them. Call some local shelters to find a donation spot. Some other suggestions ways to keep the plethora of bottles out of the landfill include storing:

  • Thumbtacks
  • Paperclips or change
  • Household odds and ends (nuts, bolts, etc.)
  • Salt, sugar, pepper, etc. for camping
  • Bulk spices
  • Pills to keep with you, like antacids or OTC painkillers
  • Earplugs when traveling

My name is Ron Jones and I’m creating a multiple sculpture exhibition at the
White Sturgeon Gallery located in Vanvouver, WA. The exhibit entries need
to be entirely made of recycled material and my chosen material are
    prescription pill bottles.

I advertise on Craigs list and word of mouth, but am wondering if you would
have any information on where I may be able to find a mass quantity (100
bottles or more) of these empty pill bottles.

I would pay for any shipping fees but the recycled material needs to be
    donated to the project.

If you have any ideas please let me know. I have until the end of October
    to complete my exhibit.

    Thanks for your time.

    Ron Jones
